The Financial Counselor Needs Help Too

I got this woman set up in our program yesterday and she called her bank, so we can take out our monthly payments monthly and they told her that we were not with the Better Business Bureau.

WHICH WE ARE!!!

I spent like 30 minutes showing the woman how to get online to the BBB.org and find our company. Even after she saw it, she called her bank again and they told her the same thing. She called right back 2 minutes later and i told her to email her bank the page so they can see too.

This woman was all worried out of her mind b/c of her credit union...what the crap!!! Frustrating....sorry just had to vent.

Well this weekend, I only withdrew $30. Enough for $10 worth of laundry quarters and the rest for my weekly buss pass.

Me and my boyfriend ended up going out, but we just really hung out and got some $4.99 dvds from record & tape traders. So, i caught some deals and was able to keep more money in the bank account. I am going to start doing this more often.

Now this week is a pay day, and i have to get my hair done, which runs about $86 with the tip, get my contacts, which is about $65 down and $65 at pickup and they will last me another 6 months. Then i have to pay the phone bill which is $45 and gas & electric which is $100. Now, i am going to try my hardest not to buy anything online.

I want to start saving more and spending less. Hopefully i will be successful...

I went to a few sites today and was looking at clothes, and i almost cracked. I literally have enough money just for a couple of items and to cover shipping and handling.

I have 2 more hrs at work, so i think i can handle it and not buy, not buy, not buy, NOT BUY!!!

It is so hard not to hit that click to buy button. It is killing me really, i am not joking.

In my mind:

"Wow, that is just so cute, i will look so cute in that."

"If i dont buy now, will they run out of stock on this item"

"DONT BUY DONT BUY DONT BUY"

I will make it.....

What is the $20 Challenge, i want to join it and i just need to know how it works??

Well, first of all, let me just you guys know, i am 21 yrs old. I am a Certified Financial Counselor, i have no debt, but i compulsively shop online.

I cant help it. I especially love clothes. First, i will go to my online banking and find out how much money I have left over after the last shopping adventure. Write it down and buy a couple of items, until i have a little bit left over. I mean, at the end of the month i have like 79 bucks left over.

Here is my budget:

$2000 a month
$820 rent
$45 phone
$200 gas & electric
$200 food & necessities
$16.50 wkly bus pass (so about 71.00)

end of the month
$664.00

I will spend most of this on clothes. I have been a certified financial counselor for 2 yrs and still do not have anything saved up at all.

I am on a mission to start disciplining myself and putting myself on a plan. You guys will be along the ride!!!!
